All models include hardware to hang legal files side to side and letter files front to back. Optional cross hangers are available for side-to-side letter filing. Locking options are available. And like our vertical files, they are available in various colors.

The FireKing 2-3822-C Two Drawer 38" W Lateral Fire File Cabinet has a UL 1-Hour Class 350 Fire Rating. Products undergo exhaustive testing procedures passing fire and explosion hazard tests conducted by Underwriters Laboratories, exposing the file to temperatures of 1700 degrees F for one hour resulting in the internal temperature not exceeding 350 degrees F. The UL Impact Rating means this product can survive a loaded fall of 30 feet and maintain fire protection. FireKing’s steel lattice reinforcement offers this impact protection on all six sides. 

It is also ETL verified for 30 minutes of media protection for external hard drives, CDs, DVDs, or LTO DLT tapes. Sprinklers and fire hoses often cause more damage than the fire itself, and all FireKing files are designed to prevent water damage from water sprinkler systems and fire hoses.  FireKing offers asbestos-free, dry insulation. Unlike wet insulation, dry insulation will maintain protection properties for a lifetime and eliminate corrosion.
