Everyone who works with extension ladders needs this tool. It’s easy to use and makes all the difference in the ladder’s stability.My previous job provided their workers with “top safety equipment”. And by that they meant a bungee cord to tire to the gutter for your 20+ foot extension ladder. This clamp is SO much more stable than a cord. It clamps to the side of the ladder and not leaving a cord for you to trip on over a rung.I would suggest if you are a coward like me to get two of these claps, one for each side of the ladder.Great quality well made product ,be better if was made in the USA but still really nice . I have a little giant ladder so it didn’t tighten down enough i added a piece of plywood between the ladder and gutter and that did the trick very tight, very secure as a side benefit my plywood trick helped to protect the gutters from ladder scratches and distributed the weight of the ladder ,so back to Amazon to order (ladders little helper) I will add my plywood to that then my life will be complete probably don’t need 2 of them however I thought if one is good 2 would really be good so Back to Amazon to order another one . Yes I know ,I have a Amazon ordering compulsion, They should start AA //Amazon anonymous //I purchase this device for the job I perform on a daily basis on ladder. I needed it for my telescopic ladder that I use to get to the second floor. The device did not give the ladder a secure hold. I'm assuming it not meant for a telescopic ladder but only for a standard ladder. I really like the design but had to return it. The product did not work for the telescopic ladder. I gave it 3 star only because I like the design but it does not work for all ladder design.No instructions on how to use included.Best. Invention. Ever. The problem with climbing around on a 2+ story roof is getting back onto to the ladder. This amazing device secures the ladder to the gutter so it doesn’t budge. I had to replace several full shingle sheets that blew off my roof in a wind storm. The estimate was $500….but I recently had my knee reconstructed so I wasn’t sure about doing it myself (the problem is always getting back on the ladder…..especially with a questionable knee). The LockJaw literally made the ladder part of the roof so it didn’t budge. My wife is getting annoyed because I won’t stop raving about it (but not too annoyed since the roof was fixed for just a few bucks and she isn’t a widow ?). Buy this!!!!! It keeps the ladder in place, doesn’t damage the gutters, easy to use, it’s a must have!No need for that unsafe ratchet strap anymore!Easy to use and makes you feel safer.I was a bit leery to buy this unit since I live in Québec, Canada and it is advertised as fitting gutters in Australia. To my great relief, this fits perfectly well on the local gutters. I didn't realize that you could buy a pair at a slightly lower price but I did order a second unit. One unit should be sufficient but at 20 feet in the air I will feel a lot more secure with a second unit. The quality and ease of use of the product is above reproach. I'd recommend this to anyone climbing a ladder at any heights.Feel a lot safer climbing ladder knowing it’s being held by this device. So far so good.
